Our Staff

Reverend Watson Matthews Gunderson was born and raised in Rock Hill South Carolina. He was brought up at Ebenezer ARP Church and later at Westminster Presbyterian Church PCA in Rock Hill. He is a graduate of Winthrop University and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Prior to going into ministry work, he served his community as a deputy sheriff and then spent several years in business finally serving as the Campus Manager at the Gordon-Conwell Charlotte Campus. Watson served as a student supply pastor at Union ARP until his graduation from seminary. Watson was ordained and installed as pastor at Union ARP Church in July 2016. Pastor Gunderson then accepted a call to serve as the pastor at Westminster ARP Church in Conway South Carolina in the fall of 2019. Pastor Gunderson was installed as our pastor in January 2025. He is married to his beautiful wife Jocelyn and they have two children, Zoe and Watson. In addition to his love of the Lord, his family, and this church he is an avid friend of History and a Revolutionary War reenactor.
